Thomas - Oleander - Nerium oleander
"Thomas" ist eine exklusive, geschützte und robuste Züchtung aus Frankreich, die sich durch ihre schlichte, aber eindrucksvolle Erscheinung auszeichnet. Diese Sorte gehört zu den starkwüchsigen Sorten und entwickelt sich bei guter Pflege rasch zu einem imposanten Strauch, ideal also für große Kübel, große, sonnige Terrassen oder geschützte Gartenbereiche.
Sie ist frühblühend und begeistert mit einer außergewöhnlich langen Blütezeit, die sich ohne Unterbrechung vom späten Frühjahr bis weit in den Herbst hinein erstreckt. Die einfachen Blüten sind reinweiß und erreichen einen Durchmesser von bis zu 8 cm. Sie verströmen einen dezenten, angenehmen Duft, der vor allem bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung in der Abenddämmerung zur Geltung kommt.
Mit der mittleren Frostfestigkeit ist sie auch für mildere Regionen geeignet und kann bei entsprechender Pflege und Schutz draußen überwintern. In kälteren Lagen empfiehlt sich eine frostfreie Überwinterung.
Als geschützte Züchtung steht sie für Qualität und gezielte Selektion – ein echtes Schmuckstück für Oleanderliebhaber und Sammler.
